Winter clothing are clothes used for protection against the particularly cold weather of winter. Often they have a good water resistance, consist of multiple layers to protect and insulate against low temperatures.

Winter clothes are especially outerwear like coats, jackets, hats, scarves and gloves or mittens, but also warm underwear like long underwear, union suits and socks.

To wear a skirt in the winter, opt for longer skirts made of thick fabrics to keep your legs warm or go with a shorter skirt and wear leggings or tights underneath it. You can also wear knee-high boots to keep your exposed legs warm.
